Time to Prime

I am finally at the point where I can start putting the room back together. Today is a wierd day and a short day so I'm just hoping to get the space clean and primed. I hope I didn't screw it up by using the wrong waterproofer but we'll find out soon....
I think it will all be ok...
So what happened was....I used flexseal waterproofer thinking I could prime over it. But after I applied it I read that it was not made for a coating to be put on top. The finish of the flexseal is very shiny and slick. I'm hoping I can sand the top an scuff it up a bit without actually messing with the waterproof-ness. So I'll keep you posted on that front.
Here are my steps for today.
Get drywall mud off shower, walls and floor
Sand Tile
Sand waterproofer (fingers crossed)
Tape off edges
prime entire space
I plan to let the primer dry overnight then test the area where the flexseal is. Hopefully that works and I'll be able to move on to filling in the tile grout line with the first layer of concrete. Which is very exciting.
I still have a million things to do, like moving all the light fixtures and adding the new fan, plumbing in the new faucet and building the new vanity.... Thankfully after the cement is down there is just a lot of small tasks which feels very do-able while little man is at school.
Also, the new doors have arrived and I'll be able to install those soon and I have to say I'm very excited for the plan for the door trim!
Let's get started....
